Join the VFLA Board

In order to ensure the sustainability of the Vermont Foreign Language Association, the Board of Directors has made an effort to streamline and automate practices in order to allow us more resources to do the most meaningful aspects of our work:  membership support.

We are seeking new board members.  If you are passionate about language learning, and are creative, organized, a team player who likes to see projects through to the end, we would love to have you on our team. Everyone is welcome to ease into the role of VFLA Board Member by participating in our meetings to learn how we operate in order to determine how to best use your passions and talents to benefit our members. All talents are welcome. 

We meet  four times a year:  September, December, February and May or June, at a time and place agreed upon by Board members. Virtual meeting attendance at some meetings is possible, if necessary.  In addition to having an influence on the future of world languages in VT and helping to guide the VFLA in serving the professional needs of its members, benefits of being on the VFLA Board include free membership, free conference, and you can apply to your LSB for PD hours based.

Whether you are an active or retired world language teacher, student teacher, novice teacher or experienced teacher, elementary, middle school, secondary or higher education teacher, your voice matters.  Your talents will help the VFLA to move language learning forward in the state of Vermont. Elections for the VFLA board of directors takes place at our annual conference.
